Working Title: Service Truck Driver, Truck Driver Single Axle, Light, Truck Driver Single Axle, Heavy, Truck Driver Tandem Axle or Semi-Trailer, Truck Driver Lowboy-Float, Truck Driver Transit – Mix, Truck Driver Trainee
General Description of Position: A Truck Driver is responsible for the transportation of construction equipment and materials to and from all job sites (sometimes in excess of 100 miles from the shop).
Licensure/Certification/Credentialing: Current Texas CDL with appropriate endorsements depending on assignment
Essential functions and responsibilities listed below:
Specific Equipment and Materials to be used: Operate small/medium/large power tools
Safety Policies and Practices: The employee in this job must be knowledgeable about and follow the company’s safety policies and procedures as described in the company’s safety manual.
Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience and Training: A valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL), Hazmat, Tanker endorsement, tools to perform PM's and three years experience, and knowledge of commercial driving regulations and roads is required.
Work environment: The work environment/physical demands characteristics described here are representative of those the employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme cold, and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; and high and/ or precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
