Environmental, Safety and Health Generalist

Working Title:   Program Support Coordinator

Supervisor:  President

Essential functions and responsibilities listed below:

  • Help develop policies and procedures, with training programs and support
  • Assist Area Safety Coordinators with training, audits, and environmental testing
  • Conduct policy and compliance audits
  • Help with root cause investigations
  • Maintaining safety data base of training, audits, claims, and other safety related information
  • Help manage claims
  • Help prepare documents and presentations for internal and external use

KSA’s :

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Planning and organizational skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to develop and deliver policies and training
  • Communication and presentation skills

Specific Equipment and Materials to be used: normal business tools related to the successful leadership of an Employee Owned Company

Education:  BA or BS in one of the following, or related disciplines: Occupational Safety and Health; Environmental Science Safety; Safety Management; Safety, Health, and Environmental Applied Sciences

Experience and Training:  Two years’ experience in Heavy Highway Construction 

Physical activities/Physical demands: Telephone daily 20%; keyboard manipulation daily 50%; standing 10% daily; bending 10% daily; and stretching/filing 10% daily.
